Bushloe Surgery Announcement
Do GP Practices issue face covering exemption letters?

There is no requirement for a letter or certificate to be issued in relation to the wearing of face coverings. We do NOT provide these.

If you are an employer, please do not ask your employees to seek letters from us. This stops us from providing care to our patients with genuine health needs.

If you would like more information on face coverings and safer travel please visit the gov.uk website.

Many thanks, Bushloe Surgery

COVID-19 Patient Advice

For the latest advice and guidance on coronavirus go to https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/

To contact the 111 Service please go to https://111.nhs.uk/ or if you need to speak to someone call “111”.

Please do not visit the surgery - seek guidance online
The NHS is currently going through a period of significant demand and pressure due to the Coronavirus. As a practice we have had to respond and change our way of working in order to ensure we can divert all our resources where they need to be. We have therefore - following national guidance - removed online booking of appointments as we need to be able to triage and ensure all appointments are appropriate, necessary and safe.

There are now different ways that you can contact the surgery if needed:

Using our online consultation tool, ENGAGE CONSULT to ask us about a medical problem or contact our admin team
Telephone and speak to our Patient Services Team who will direct your call to the most appropriate member of the surgery team to help and call you back.
Using our SystemOnline to request prescriptions & view results

If you are housebound or too unwell to get to the surgery then telephone the surgery ideally before 11am. The Duty Doctor will contact you and advise you appropriately. It is generally much better and safer to see patients in the surgery so if at all possible, patient will be advised to come to the surgery to be seen.

If you need medical advice when the surgery is closed then we would advise contact the Out of Hours service on 111 if necessary.
